Transcriptions

Work can be transcribed from modern digital files or traditional audio cassette tapes

DSS, WMA, WAV, MP3

mini / micro cassette

 standard cassette

Transcripts are typed to an in-house style, but should you wish, your standard templates can be accommodated to conform to your own house style.

Work can be transcribed 'word for word' as in verbatim transcriptions or edited (to omit the ‘ums and ers’ etc), or to specific client requirements.

To ensure a high standard of service, all documents are proof-read and checked against original recording, prior to despatch.

Transcription Types

Verbatim (word for word)All dialogue exactly as spoken (e.g. hesitations, ums & ers etc., informal language such as yeah, gonna, kinda), and background noises.

Intelligent VerbatimExclusion of irrelevant dialogue and sounds such as hesitations and ums & ers.  Interjections and interruptions (e.g. yeah, but..., sure) may be left in, if relevant.  Contractions (e.g. that's, they're, won't) are left as said.

Edited

Speech is tidied up to create comprehensible sentences, but so as still to retain original meaning.  Grammar and mis-pronounced words are corrected and contractions and informal language are typed in full if required.
